Isaac's 1st Lost Tooth

Isaac lost his very first tooth this morning! He was getting ready to go upstairs to brush his teeth when I heard a very loud and excited "MOMMY"! I hurriedly told him to be quiet (it was only 7:15 and Lily and Luke were both still sleeping!), as I ran to see what was going on. He met me by the stairs holding his month with one hand and his tiny tooth with the other, saying "I lost my tooth"! He couldn't wait to put his tooth under his pillow when he got home from school, and had it there by 4:00. He kept asking when it was bedtime, which is quite rare for Isaac! he had lots of questions about the "hows" of the Tooth Fairy and decided that she MUST be magic! He is now upstairs sleepily awaiting the magical Tooth Fairy, so I best be going. She of course will not come until everyone in the whole house is fast asleep :)

Back to School for the Big Kids!

Grace and Isaac started school on August 17 and both are doing GREAT! Grace is in 1st grade and loves recess, art, and music. She has homework everyday and surprises me with how good she can read!! She reads one or two books every night to me or her daddy. Isaac goes to all day kindergarten, which was worrisome to me at first, but he is doing amazingly well! If you can believe it, he has become ornery!! He is so wound up when he gets home, it's crazy!! He loves recess, where he tells me the boys chase the girls! He also loves keeping track of the calendar and how many days he has been at school. My favorite part of the day is waiting for them to get off the bus! They both run up the yard right to me, it's the BEST!!

1st Day of Preschool for Lily

Today was Lily's first day of preschool! She was a little nervous, but went with her teacher with no crying! I was first in line to pick her up and she was smiling when I saw her. She had lots of fun and is excited to go back on Thursday. She told me she saw "Jacob" and played on the playground. She also asked me if she could tell Gracie something when she gets home from school! I said of course, but she could also tell me if she wanted. She said, No, she would just tell Gracie!! We will have to see what that is all about :)

Luke slept the whole time she was gone!!

"All because two people fell in love..."

In June, we celebrated our 8th anniversary!! Eight years and four kids later :-) We both feel so very blessed to have such a sweet family! Chris surprised me with this beautiful wicker porch swing, which I have always wanted!! Isaac took this picture of us together before we were to go out to eat. As this picture was snapped, I felt that this was indeed "one of those moments to remember". I told the kids someday, each one of them would treasure this picture of their mommy and daddy. I already love when the two of us can swing together and watch the kids running, playing, and laughing in the yard. Oh, what memories we have to make!! I also told the kids that someday we will swing on the porch swing and watch their kids, when we are the Grandma and Papa :) Isaac then insisted with much passion, that he will "NEVER get married or have kids!!". He is "staying with mommy FOREVER"! Grace said she will have three girls that I can babysit: Emma, Kelly, and ....(I will have to ask her again the third name!).
